Andrea Wilkinson, Ed S, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Areas of Focus

I work with adults experiencing anxiety disorders, mood concerns, life transitions, and stress, with a particular specialization in treating anxiety using CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for reducing anxiety symptoms.

I also enjoy working with:

  • Women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and other seasons of hormonal change

  • Parents seeking to strengthen family relationships, manage parental overwhelm, and reduce parental rage

  • Athletes looking to strengthen both mental health and performance

  • Educators, Caregivers, and First Responders experiencing burnout

Everyone deserves a safe place to explore life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and hope. I am passionate about helping people move beyond simply coping to creating meaningful, lasting change.

I earned my bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia while working with high-risk adolescents. Witnessing the impact that quality counseling can have on individuals and families inspired me to pursue both a Master of Education in Counseling and an Educational Specialist degree in Counseling Supervision and Leadership from Valdosta State University.

In addition to my graduate training, I have completed advanced training in Nutrition for Mental Health and Women's Mental Health.

Outside the office, you'll usually find me spending time outdoors with my family, gardening, or diving into the latest research on nutrition, wellness, and mental health.

My Approach

I believe therapy should be collaborative, practical, and empowering. My role is to partner with you, helping you understand the patterns that keep you stuck while equipping you with tools to create lasting cognitive and behavioral change.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring treatment to your unique goals and circumstances. Together, we will develop practical strategies you can begin using immediately, creating measurable progress both inside and outside of therapy.

Because I believe lasting change happens when we care for the whole person, I take a holistic approach that recognizes the connection between mind, body, and lifestyle. When appropriate, I also incorporate movement, creativity, music, and evidence-based nutrition into treatment.

Whether you're navigating a difficult season or pursuing personal growth, it would be a privilege to walk alongside you offering guidance, practical tools, and encouragement as you build a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling
